ASC TS Series MEMS Tilt Sensors (1-axis and 2-axis)
Main markets: civil engineering, railways, geodesy, renewable energy
The ASC tilt sensor measures static acceleration, which is the acceleration at which the Earth's gravity is measured. This sensor is based on MEMS capacitive accelerometer detection elements, and changes in tilt correspond to changes in acceleration due to varying components of gravity acting on the accelerometer. The accelerometer receives an acceleration of ±1g with a full-scale output of ±2V. The high-sensitivity low-g accelerometer has the highest resolution for tilt measurements, and the analog voltage output from the tilt sensor can be converted into tilt angles. The tilt sensor features excellent long-term bias stability (0.1°) and high resolution (0.005°), with a low temperature coefficient of bias remaining stable in test results. It can operate optimally over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +120°C with high shock limits. Additionally, the IP68 rated stainless steel housing can be used in harsh applications.
